Jürgen Klopp has made a world record move for the most talked about young player in Europe after offering a huge €100m for Monaco’s Kylian Mbappe, according to MARCA.

The report suggests that Klopp wants Mbappe at all costs this summer and claims that this is their second offer for the striker. They believe that this bid was rejected, with Mbappe keen on a move to Real Madrid.

There is still a chance that Mbappe will stay at Monaco this summer, with the clubs owner demanding a world record offer to even start considering a sale.

Liverpool have also been linked with Borussia Dortmund striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Lyon’s Alexandre Lacazette.

On Wednesday it was reported that Liverpool are not interested in signing a high-profile striker this summer, with Jürgen Klopp keen to keep faith in the clubs new number 9 Roberto Firmino.

The fact he has been given the number 9 shirt surely suggests that he will begin next season as the clubs first choice option in that role after he enjoyed a very successful 2016/17 season and played a pivotal part in the clubs top four finish.

With the club already securing the club record signing of Mohamed Salah and looking to add high quality players in defence and midfield, it looks likely that they will not pursue a big money striker during this transfer window.
