The football weekend ended. It was pretty good weekend with derby matches all over best leagues. We will start from the best league, the Premier League where it’s getting more and more interesting the race for the leading position, where from place one to five the difference is only one point and when you put here also Manchester United that is six point above the leaders (Manchester City and Arsenal with 20 points), the race for the title is very tough. This weekend in Premier League was perfect for Jurgen Klopp (Liverpool) and for Antonio Conte (Chelsea). Liverpool won 2-1 in very dramatic match against West Bromwich meanwhile Chelsea destroyed the team of their former coach Mourinho-Manchester United. This are the standings after nine weeks in Premier League:
Italian Seria A
An interesting football weekend was also in Italian Seria A, where the football atmosphere was focused mostly on the traditional derby between Milan and Juventus that after four years the Red and Black won 1-0 against the favorite side of Juventus and this win brought Milan in the first three position for the first time after three seasons. The other disappointing was the loss of Inter Milan from Atalanta as guest with a result of 2-1, and seem like the team managed by Franc De Boer can’t find the best form. Last match played tonight was Roma against Palermo that was easily won by Roma with 4-1. This is the table after this weekend matches:
Spanish Premiera Division
The top league with most scored goal this week was the Spanish Premiera Division. One of the derby matches not only on paper but also with football show was between Valencia and Barcelona that was won by Luis Enrique’s team with 2-3 with last score on 94th minute from penalty by Messi. In this match Messi scored two goals and he continues the good form. After nine weeks of play, the surprise was made by Sevilla that won against Atletico Madrid and now is on the second place in La Liga table. Real Madrid won in very tough match against the Basques from Athletico Bilbao with a result 2-1. Even though Ronaldo didn’t score this win was enough to secure to Los Blancos the first place in La Liga table after nine weeks. This is how the table looks at the moment:
In Germany Bundesliga 1 the situation remains almost the same with Bayern Munich in leading position with the surprise that is on the second place the team of RB Leipzig that is new to bungesliga but have perfect result so far in eight weeks of play. The disappointing team for this week in Germany is Borussia Dortmund that couldn’t manage to turnover the match against Inglostad that ended draw 3-3.
In France Ligue 1 the situation for Paris St.Germain remains the same, they can’t find the form to be serious opponent for the first place this season. They draw again this week against Marseille at home, and this is the second draw this season after two loss they have in ten played matches so far. The leader of the Ligue 1 at the moment is the team of Mario Balotelli OGC Nice that after ten matches this season they have 26 points and still haven’t lost any match.
Overall this weekend was interesting with a lot of goals and interesting derby moments in the top leagues.
