Former Liverpool and Real Madrid midfielder Steve McManaman has released an interview with Marca ahead of tonight’s Champions League clash between Real Madrid and Tottenham.

The European giants are not only involved in the race for Europe but Spurs will also have to deal with the interest of the Merengues in their star striker Harry Kane at the end of the season.

Steve McManaman, however, believes the Englishman won’t be a good addition for the La Liga giants.

“No, I wouldn’t sign Kane,” he told the Spanish paper. “I would prefer to sign a young boy like Mbappe. It would be very difficult to sign Kane, the price of footballers today is crazy, you would need € 200 million.”

Talking about tonight’s clash, McManaman said: “They [Real Madrid] always try to play very attractive football. Spurs playing at home could make for a very open match. If Real Madrid play like they can, they are the favourites, they are the European champions.”
