Man Utd could break Premier League transfer record for Real Madrid man

Manchester United have been linked to a number of big money signings this summer as we look to challenge for the Premier League and Champions League titles next season.

We currently hold the Premier League transfer record following the £89 million signing of Paul Pogba from Juventus back in 2016 and it would appear that we are prepared to break that record again this summer.

That’s because Spanish outlet Don Balon are reporting that we are ‘willing to offer’ £123 million to sign Isco from Real Madrid.

Jose Mourinho holds the Spanish midfielder in high regards and believes he could be the player that will make the difference between winning the title and not next season.

The 25-year-old has been in and out of the Real Madrid starting lineup this season though appears to have ousted Gareth Bale as a regular in the first team. However, he has still only started 19 of a possible 33 La Liga games for the Champions League holders.

Don Balon reports that Zidane doesn’t have enough trust in Isco for the playmaker to hold down a regular place in the starting XI and that the Spanish international would be open to a move should a team offer him more playing time.

Isco wants clarification from his manager of his role in the squad at the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium before making a decision on his future.

The report goes on to say that we are prepared to offer a club record £123 million in order to bring the former Malaga star to Old Trafford over the summer. How accurate this report is remains to be seen but there’s no doubt Isco would be a fantastic acquisition at Manchester United were we able to bring him in.
