Keylor Navas furious at coach

Real Madrid goalkeeper Keylor Navas spoke in a rare interview to El Chiringuito about his new role in the club. Navas appeared to be somewhat disappointed even though he has always shown determination to fight and compete for a spot in the starting lineup.

“I’ve gone from winning three straight Champions League titles to not playing at all,” said Navas.

Navas has lost the chance to start in the Champions League ever since former coach Julen Lopetegui was sacked. Lopetegui decided to give new signing Thibaut Courtois the role to start in La Liga while Navas was the keeper in the Champions League and also apparently in the Copa del Rey. Now, the Costa Rican goalkeeper will have to wait for his opportunity on the bench given that Courtois has been performing well enough to keep his spot this season. If Navas ends up not playing at all, he might consider leaving the club next summer.
