Real Madrid coach Zinedine Zidane plans to make plenty of rotations when Betis visit the Bernabeu this next Sunday. Los Blancos played against Napoli last Tuesday and the French coach wants to keep his squad fresh for the tougher matches ahead of them, meaning that players like Morata, Isco, Kovacic, Nacho or even Kiko Casilla could earn a spot in Sunday’s starting lineup.
James should also be in Zidane’s XI after his good performance last weekend against Eibar. If Cristiano Ronaldo needs some more rest, expect Marco Asensio on the left wing as well, because he needs more quality minutes to develop into the dominant player he is expected to be.
Either way, Real Madrid should take care of business against Betis and that’s why Zidane will rotate his squad. He did the same against Las Palmas and it ended up costing Madrid two points, but Los Blancos will probably have learned the lesson.
