Real Madrid legend Raul Gonzalez has hinted at a possible return to the club this summer, as an advisor to president Florentino Perez.

The 39-year-old, who made over 500 La Liga appearances for Los Blancos during his playing career, retired from professional football in 2015 following a stint in America with New York Cosmos and looks set to take up a position at his former club.

Despite a rather shock ing admission that he would consider an offer from Madrid’s bitter rivals Barcelona, Marca have claimed a contract has already been made by the La Liga giants to Raul, who admits he’s planning to return to live in Madrid come June.

“I’m returning to live in Madrid in June,” he announced, as reported by Football Espana.

“I’d like to work for Real Madrid and we’ll talk to see how can I help. Hala Madrid, and if anyone has any doubts … and nothing else!”

Raul was Madrid’s all time leading scorer with 228 goals across a 15-year stay at the Santiago Bernabeu until he was surpassed by the extraordinary goalscoring achievement of Cristiano Ronaldo as he broke the record against Eibar last season.
However, he remains a firm favourite with the supporters after winning 16 major honours, including six La Liga titles and three Champions Leagues during his time with the club.
