Bad news for Real Madrid

Real Madrid midfielder Jude Bellingham was unable to finish training this Friday due to a knock suffered as the session was about to end.

The English representative had to leave the field and underwent various tests.

According to the club’s medical services, the player suffered an injury to the thin plantaris muscle of his right leg.

“Following the tests carried out today on Jude Bellingham by the Real Madrid medical team, the player has been diagnosed with a plantar muscle injury in his right leg. His progress will be monitored,” the club’s official website said.

According to Marca newspaper, the injury will keep the player out for a month, while he is expected to rejoin the squad after the September international break.

Bellingham’s defeat will prevent Carlo Ancelotti from using the ‘BMV’ in the next few La Liga matches, starting with Valladolid this Sunday.

The normal thing would be for the Italian coach to use Luka Modric or Arda Güler to replace the Englishman in the advanced midfield position.
