Real Madrid and Barcelona are set to play each other in pre-season not once, but three times.
They will face off twice in the Spanish Super Cup, a two-legged final and once in a match in the International Champions Cup, meaning they will have faced off three times before the season even begins.
With the first league El Clasico usually later in the first half of the season, they will have breathing space, but it certainly adds spice to what is already a big rivalry, and usually boring pre-season games.

Real Madrid have more important things to worry about before that however, with a Champions League final against Juventus on the cards, and the chance to make history – something that the Real Madrid fans would love, and relish the chance to get one over on their rivals Barcelona, given they went so long without winning the Champions League, and are now potentially about to win three in four seasons.
