‘The doors are open’ for Chelsea striker Diego Costa to return to Atletico Madrid this summer according to assistant coach Juan Vizcaino.
The 28-year-old stated over the weekend that Los Rojiblancos were the only side he would want to leave Chelsea for this summer, but reports suggest Atletico can only offer €25m for the striker.
“The doors are open here for Diego Costa,” Vizcaino responded to Cadena Ser when asked about the possibility of a move this summer.
Diego Simeone’s side are currently serving a FIFA-imposed transfer ban but are reportedly confident this will be lifted over the coming weeks.
The Madrid club have also been linked to moves for forwards Alexandre Lacazette and Sandro Ramirez this summer, with the future of Antoine Griezmann unclear amid reports he may join Manchester United.
