Italian giants Milan had an offer for Real Madrid striker Alvaro Morata rejected due to the Spanish champions deeming it ‘unsatisfactory’.

The 24-year-old striker is now reportedly in discussions with Manchester United but agent Juanma Lopez described how the Milanese club were unsuccessful in their enquiries for the former Juvent us striker.

“Yes, there was frequent contact with us until a few days ago — I can confirm that,” Lopez is quoted by Calcio Mercato of Milan’s interest.

“Quite simply, Real Madrid considered the Rossoneri’s offer to be unsatisfactory.”

Milan have since concluded a €38m deal for Porto striker Andre Silva which appears to completely end any pursuit of the Madrid forward.
