Borussia Dortmund have ruled out Ousmane Dembele leaving the club this summer, although reports in Spain suggest a move next year is possible.

The Bundesliga club’s sporting director Michael Zorc categorically denied a departure for the French forward, whom they signed from Rennes for €12m last season.

“Ousmane Dembele has a long-term contract here and we are making definite plans with him,” Zorc told German newspaper Waz.

“There are no negotiations. Ousmane is going to be playing for Dortmund in the coming season.”

However, El Mundo Deportivo reported on Friday that the Blaugrana are targeting a move in 2018 or the following year, ‘to allow the player to fully mature’.

The 20-year-old netted six league goals in 32 outings for Dortmunds last season and has been integrated into the French national team.
