English Premier League champions Chelsea are the latest club to join the race for Sevilla winger Vitolo, say reports in Spain.

Estadio Deportivo state that whilst Atletico Madrid are still in the driving seat for the 27-year-old, a move to England is not off the cards.

The Spain international has a €40m release clause at Estadio Sanchez Pizjuan and has previously been linked with Manchester City, but a move to Atletico – with a short-term loan deal to Vitolo’s former club Las Palmas reported as a possibility.

“Atletico Madrid? I don’t know what’ll happen…they aren’t the only interested club, there are more teams,” Vitolo told La Provincia earlier this month.

“I haven’t decided anything yet and moreover, I’m under contract at Sevilla and I owe them the greatest of respect.

“The day I leave Sevilla I’ll be really sad to go, it’s been a wonderful experience that will stay with me forever.

“Man City? They are a great club that has grown in recent years, but at the moment there’s nothing with them.

“Barcelona? Of course it’s flattering to be tracked by a club like Barca, but those teams track a lot of players.”
