In the semi-finals of the Confederations Cup in Kazan, Chile defeated Portugal after a penalty shoot-out with 3:0.

The South American champion Chile is the first finalist of the Confederations Cup after being more successful than the European Champion Portugal. They won after a penalty shootout with a 3:0, since after 120 minutes of play there were no goals.

Although both teams had several opportunities to take the lead, both goalkeepers were on their A game today.


When it was the time to shoot penalties, Chilean goalkeeper Claudio Bravo defended all three Portugal attempts from Quaresma, Nani and Moutinho. On the other hand, Vidal, Aranguiz and Sanchez overcame Rui Patricio.

In the second semi-final on Thursday, the world champion Germany and the champion of North and Central America, Mexico, will play in Sochi.

The finals will be played on Sunday in St. Petersburg.
