The leadership of Serie A announced that next year the Italian Championships will use the new video technology.
Serie A is one of the several competitions announcing the acceptance of a video preview after a successful test at the Confederations Cup, the World U-20 and the European U-21 Championship.
“The world of referees is ready for this new adventure. With VAR, not all errors will be eliminated and there could certainly be a few hiccups during the experimental phase, but we hope to reduce those to almost zero,” said the president of the Italian Football Association Marcello Nicchi.

Italians have already introduced the video technology to goal-lines, and this will be a big new step in reducing the number of mistakes in the games.
