AC Milan goalkeeper Gigio Donnarumma has found himself in the middle of a storm after that he decided not to extend his contract with the Serie A giants. His powerful agent Mino Raiola has taken time rejecting AC Milan’s opening contract extension offer but the two parties will soon meet again to see if there is any chance to persuade the 18-year-old goalkeeper to stay at the San Siro.
Calciomercato.com exclusively reported yesterday that Raiola and Donnarumma have had a secret meeting a few days ago and Il Corriere della Sera confirms that Raiola was spotted close to Donnarumma’s home in Castellammare di Stabia a few days ago.
It has emerged that Donnarmma and Raiola have different views regarding the player’s future. According to the Italian paper, the Italian agent is pushing for his client to move to Real Madrid. Raiola wants Gigio to discuss a potential move to Spain but Donnarumma is keen to go against his agent’s wishes and wants to sign a contract extension with AC Milan.
Raiola does not confirm the meeting but Il Corriere della Sera confirms that it took place and it is understood that AC Milan representatives will meet Raiola on Monday or on Tuesday to officially restart new contract talks.
