Chelsea eye stunning £125m splurge as Conte wants three key signings wrapped up

Chelsea are reportedly hoping to complete three crucial deals for Tiemoue Bakayoko, Antonio Rudiger and Alex Sandro which will cost them a whopping £125m.

The Premier League champions have yet to bring anyone in this summer, and that will be a concern for most given pre-season is now around the corner and they are in real need of adding quality and depth to prepare the squad for their title defence and the Champions League.

According to The Telegraph, that process could now really kick on with a £35m deal for Bakayoko being finalised, while Chelsea are said to have agreed to sign Rudiger for £30m from Roma while talks continue for £60m-rated Sandro as the pursuit of the Juventus ace will step up at the start of next week.

Meanwhile, Willy Caballero will arrive on a free transfer after leaving Manchester City this summer, as per the report, to provide back-up for Thibaut Courtois after Asmir Begovic completed his move to Bournemouth.

Having raised a further £62m through the sales of the likes of Begovic, Bertrand Traore and Nathan Ake, it should have left the Premier League giants with a significant amount of money to spend and so Conte will hope to see some movement in the opposite direction in the weeks ahead.

In the case of Rudiger, it seems as though he’s the most realistic target to bolster the backline with Chelsea previously linked with the likes of Leonardo Bonucci and Virgil van Dijk. Combine that with the Telegraph suggesting that their total spending will exceed £200m by the end of the summer though, it’s arguably the more sensible option to go with the German international who is more than capable and will cost much less.

There’s still plenty of time in the window, but Conte will undoubtedly be a much more relieved man if these three players arrive sooner rather than later to give the entire squad a boost.
