Real Madrid have completed the signing of Theo Hernandez – a former Barcelona target – from their derby rivals Atletico Madrid.
According to Bleacher Report, the left-back has now finalised a six-year-deal with the La Liga giants.
The Frenchman was eyed up by Catalan rivals Barca but now he has put pen to paper, ensuring that he will be a player for Zinedine Zidane’s side.
The 19-year-old is an exciting prospect despite never making a first team appearance for the Red and Whites of Madrid, only playing in their ‘B’ team during the 2015/16 season. Last season, however, the Marseille-born left-back was promoted to the first team, following sublime performances.
He has spent most of his professional career on loan to La Liga side Alaves – where he appeared 32 times and scored a single goal in the the 2016/17 season.
The youngster has a bright future but will surely find it tough to secure regular football with a side of such esteem.
