Arsenal recently brought Alexandre Lacazette from Lyon for a record €53 million, making the French striker the most expensive player in their history.
The fans were delighted and started thinking that Arsene Wenger finally started building a team for great things. But it looks like they will be disappointed again. It looks like Arsenal is condemned to stay without a fantastic Chilean. Bayern wanted him first, but that opportunity suddenly came to an end.
However, Manchester City has now appeared. According to the English media, City’s coach Pep Guardiola met with Alexis Sanchez and agreed on the conditions for his coming to Etihad.
On the other hand, City has a €56.5 million bid for the striker, and Wenger simply can’t refuse that offer.
Of course, there is a scenario in which a French strategist does not want to let Sanchez go, but he is aware that the Chilean does not want to sign a new contract and the current one will expire next summer. Then he will be able to leave the club as a free player and Arsenal will be left with nothing.
So it seems quite realistic that City will realize this transfer, and Arsenal will agree to their offer.
