Yuri Berchiche has explained Paris Saint-Germain’s offer was ‘too good to turn down’ following his €15m transfer from Real Sociedad.
The 27-year-old penned a five-year contract with the Parisians to become their first signing of the summer, after 88 appearances for La Real across five seasons.
“I am going to PSG because it is a very good offer and it was too good to turn down,” Yuri is quoted as saying by Marca.
“I have always been a fan of La Real and now I will be even more so.”
The Basque began his professional career in England with Tottenham Hotspur in 2007 but did not make his breakthrough in top-flight football until seven years later, when David Moyes promoted him to La Real’s first-choice left-back.
