Chelsea have been given the chance to sign Borussia Dortmund forward Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang for £65 million, according to reports.

Antonio Conte is targeting a new striker after missing out on Romelu Lukaku, who officially joined Manchester United on Monday and having already told Diego Costa that he is not part of Chelsea’s plans next season.

The Sun claims that Real Madrid striker Alvaro Morata is still Conte’s first choice but the Chelsea manager has now been offered the opportunity to sign Aubameyang this summer.

Dortmund have already admitted that they are open to selling the Gabon international and it’s reported that he would prefer a move to the Premier League over the Chinese Super League.

Aubameyang finished as the Bundesliga’s top scorer last season with 31 goals – one clear of Bayern Munich’s Robert Lewandowski.

Paris Saint-Germain and AC Milan have also registered their interest in the striker, although PSG pulled out of a deal last month.

Morata, meanwhile, has joined up with Real Madrid’s squad for their pre-season tour of the United States.

Manchester United had been in talks with Madrid for the Spain international but Jose Mourinho’s side were put off by the striker’s £80m asking price.

And with the Spanish champions in no desperate need to sell, Chelsea could also face difficulty in negotiations for Morata.
