Inter back in for Tottenham star

Inter could reportedly renew their interest in Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Erik Lamela after being priced out for Javier Pastore.

Corriere dello Sport claimed on Tuesday that Paris Saint-Germain’s €40m valuation of Pastore put off Inter, but adds the 28-year-old “isn’t right” for Coach Luciano Spalletti.

Consequently, the website suggests technical coordinator Walter Sabatini is a big fan of Lamela, who has been linked before and has not played a competitive match since last October due to a spate of mysterious injuries.

The Argentine joined Spurs from Roma for €30m in the summer of 2013 and starred for the club during the 2015-16 campaign, scoring 11 goals and assisting 10 in 44 appearances.

The signing of a No 10 is said to be a priority for Inter as Spalletti looks to adopt a 4-2-3-1 formation next season.
