Now however, Don Balon think that after being led on a merry dance over the move for PSG’s Marco Veratti, the Cules do in fact want Dele, and are taking steps to get him.
Ernesto Valverde is thought to be a huge fan of the midfielder, and thinks that he can bring out the best in Luis Suarez, Lionel Messi and Neymar.
That being said, Spurs have already shown they will not let their best players leave – or if they do go, a considerable fee would have to be put forward.
Harry Kane was linked with Manchester United and that was a none starter due to the fee Spurs would demand and Kane’s reluctance for a move, and Spurs will be hoping the same will be true for Dele.
