Unlike Leo Messi, who will enjoy 43 days without football this summer, Cristiano Ronaldo is having a shorter break.
Ronaldo helped Los Blancos win La Liga and the Champions League last season, before he jetted off to Russia with Portugal, as they reached the final of the Confederations Cup.
Cristiano is now on vacation with his family, including new twins Eva and Mateo and girlfriend Georgina Rodriguez.
Marca have looked into Ronaldo’s upcoming schedule on Sunday, and they’ve reported that the Portugal star is expected back in Madrid this week for a check up.
The visit is just a “break in his vacation”, set to last three or four days, while he’ll have an overall set of physical exams.
After that, Cristiano is set to head to Japan for a commercial event, while he is expected to spend more time on holiday.
Looking at when Ronaldo will be back in action, the big news dropped by Marca is that Cristiano will miss the UEFA SuperCup against Manchester United.
Ronaldo will skip the game against his former employers, as Zinedine Zidane wants his star to complete ten full days of training before he competes in action again.
Rather than facing Man United, Ronaldo’s first game back is scheduled to be the Spanish Super Cup against Barcelona. That’s pencilled in for August 13 at the Camp Nou.
