Sergio Ramos has reacted on Twitter to Chelsea agreeing a fee for Alvaro Morata

This time last month, reports were rife that Real Madrid’s Alvaro Morata was set to join Manchester United in a big-money move.

Richard Keys claimed a deal was “done”, while various other sources stated that only a fee needed to be agreed between the two clubs.

We’re now in mid-July and United have signed Romelu Lukaku instead for £75 million and Morata is about to join Chelsea.

How everything can change in the space of a month. A fee – said to be £58 million – has been agreed, with Chelsea announcing as much on their official website.

“Chelsea Football Club and Real Madrid have agreed terms for the transfer of Alvaro Morata to Stamford Bridge,” the statement read.
