Reports from Spain suggest that Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane has his eyes firmly fixed on one player in particular this summer. Having been linked with a big money move for French striking sensation Kylian Mbappe, it’s understood that it’s not the 18-year-old Frenchman that Zizou wants in his squad next term but Chelsea play-maker Eden Hazard.

According to Diario Gol, Zidane is not that keen on the 18-year-old but is desperate to add the 26-year-old Belgian to his squad as they look to defend both the Spanish league title and Champions League next term. The portal claims that Zidane is aware he could get Hazard for less than the €100M it’s claimed is needed to convince Monaco to part with Mbappe and wants Real President Florentino Perez to make signing him a priority.

Although happy at Stamford Bridge, Hazard is understood to have told close friends that he would be prepared to talk to the Spanish giants if they were to come calling. The Premier League champions have stated all along that the Belgian will not be sold this summer as Antonio Conte looks to make his assault on the Champions League.
