Manchester United fans fear Victor Lindelof is actually useless after embarrassingly bad tackle (FOTO)

Manchester United fans fear a terrible mistake may have been made with the signing of Victor Lindelof after his dreadful challenge gave away a penalty against Real Madrid.

The centre-back was signed from Benfica with the intention of strengthening the Red Devils’ defence and at £31million it was expected he would do precisely that.

But his latest appearance on Manchester United’s tour of the United States has fans worried.

Having been caught square during the meeting with Real Madrid the Swedish international raced across to meet Theo Hernandez. But rather than making the necessary tackle, he only succeeded in wiping the Real Madrid player out.

Real Madrid were given the clear penalty they deserved from which Casemiro levelled the score in the pre-season meeting at 1-1.

Manchester United fans were quick to react to the rash challenge with many fearing Manchester United may have made a serious error in the transfer market.
