Monaco are denying a deal has been reached with Real Madrid for the transfer of star teenage striker Kylian Mbappe, claim reports.

French-based Nice-Matin and Sky Sports have both reported they have contacted the French champions who denied any deal had been agreed.

A report in Marca on Tuesday stated Los Blancos had agreed a world record fee of €180m with the Ligue 1 club for the 18-year-old’s transfer.

“Contacted by us, the club (Monaco) strongly denied this agreement,” posted Nice-Matin on Twitter.

Mbappe scored 26 goals across all competitions last season – his first full season as a regular in the top flight of French football, and Madrid’s sale of Alvaro Morata had reportedly quickened a deal to the Bernabeu.
