James Rodriguez separates from wife Daniela Ospina
One of the big news stories in Colombia on Thursday concerns the marital affairs of James Rodriguez and his wife of five years Daniela Ospina.
Colombian radio station Caracol report that James has separated from wife Daniela and they have already gone through a divorce.
The couple divorced because of disagreements and have already settled their legal issues.
Fans of James & Daniela shocked
The divorce has shocked fans of the Colombian playmaker.
There were rumours in recent weeks about James, since he arrived at Bayern with no family and was not presented alongside Daniela.
The divorce reportedly came about due to “estrangement” of the couple, who made the decision amicably.
James preparing for the new season with Bayern
The lawyers have already defined the terms of the separation, and James and Daniela have already signed the legal agreements, according to Caracol.
Reports in Colombia suggest that the couple’s house in Medellin was already sold, and Daniela has kept the property they had in Miami.
The union lasted five years and the pair have a daughter together, who is now in the custody of Daniela.
Daniela Ospina is currently in Medellín. While James Rodriguez is in Singapore playing pre-season games with his new team, Bayern Munich. Following a two-year loan move from Real Madrid.

Daniela Ospina had a message for James Rodriguez when he signed for Bayern: “You are not what you achieve… you are what you overcome”.
Daniela is the sister of Arsenal goalkeeper David Ospina, an international team mate of James Rodriguez.
