Bayern Munich claim Chelsea have “asked” about Milan target Renato Sanches, who will “almost certainly” leave on loan this summer.

Speaking to Gazzetta dello Sport for its Friday edition, CEO Karl-Heinz Rummenigge also suggested Bayern had sold Douglas Costa due to the Juventus new boy only performing for the first six months of his career in Germany.

“There are at least 10 teams that would take Sanches on loan,” revealed the former Inter striker.

“After the match [between Inter and Bayern] on Tuesday, Conte asked us for information on the lad because he knows [Sanches] can make a difference in the middle of the park.

“The lad wants to play regularly, but Ancelotti was pleased with his performance against Chelsea.

“We’ll make our evaluations later, but if he does leave then he almost certainly will on loan. We’re still counting on him.

“Douglas Costa? His form dipped after the first six months, but if Allegri is able to manage him properly then he’s someone that can make a difference.”
