Neymar will reportedly undergo a medical with Paris Saint-Germain on Tuesday as his mega move from Barcelona gets closer.

Mundo Deportivo cites Qatari daily Al Watan in suggesting Neymar did not return to Spain with his Barca teammates after their tour of the US, instead flying to Qatar, where he met PSG President Nasser Al-Khelaifi.

The forward is due in China on Monday for advertising commitments, despite reports claiming otherwise, but the Qatari Press believe he will then head back to the Arab state for medical examinations.

The notion that Neymar is close to joining the French giants has also been verified by Marca.

Barca have always maintained that the Brazilian will only leave if PSG activate his €222m release clause.

However, Unai Emery’s side risk being reported to UEFA as the Blaugrana and La Liga both deem such an outlay a violation of Financial Fair Play.

Furthermore, the French treasury would push the deal up to €300m due to it seeing the transaction as an advance payment to a future employee.

Sport adds the tax on Neymar’s part could be avoided if one of Angel Di Maria, Julian Draxler, Adrien Rabiot and Marco Verratti are included in the transfer.
