Manchester United are closing in on their fourth signing of the summer, Serge Aurier of Paris Saint-Germain.
Paris United, the PSG news Twitter account with a reliable track record, claims that Aurier has agreed on terms with United. He’ll sign a five-year contract and receive an annual salary of around €5m.
A right-back of considerable talent, Aurier is allowed to leave following the arrival of Dani Alves.
He’ll offer competition to first-choice defender Antonio Valencia at Old Trafford.
Assault conviction
The main thing standing in Aurier’s way is a trial on August 7th determining whether he can even enter the country. He was convicted of assault in May last year for an attack on a police officer.
This assault conviction prevented him from competing in England in PSG’s 2-2 draw with Arsenal in November.
Should his trial go well, he will be expected to sign for United for a fee of around €50.
