Cristiano Ronaldo send message to Neymar after move to PSG

The Brazilian forward is on the cusp of a mega-money move to the French capital.

He’s expected to cost the Ligue 1 side an eye-watering £199m.

But according to Spanish news outlet Don Balon, Ronaldo has sent Neymar a message via a sponsor they both share.

The Portuguese has reportedly told Neymar he understands his desire to escape from Lionel Messi’s shadow.

But nevertheless Ronaldo has told his old foe he’s making a mistake.

Ronaldo himself has been linked with a move to PSG.

However, the former Manchester United star is determined to keep pushing himself in La Liga.

Neymar will receive a significant pay rise once his move is completed.

He’s set to pocket a staggering £540,000 each week after tax.

Barcelona said in a statement yesterday: “Neymar Jr, accompanied by his father and agent, has informed FC Barcelona this morning (Wednesday) of his decision to leave the club in a meeting held at the club’s offices.

“Faced with this position, the club has informed them they refer to the buy-out clause of his existing contract which as of 1 July totals 222 million euros, which will have to be deposited in its entirety.

“The player remains under contract at FC Barcelona but with temporary permission to not take part in training sessions.”

Neymar has scored more than 100 goals in four years with the La Liga club and has a deal that runs until 2021.
