Real Madrid will sell Bale to Manchester United only if their player is included on swap deal!

Gareth Bale has long been linked with a move to Manchester United with reports first surfacing during David Moyes’ tenure in 2014.

And the former Tottenham man has yet again been linked with a move to Old Trafford this summer.

Real are reportedly looking to offload the Welshman to pave the way for Monaco sensation Kylian Mbappe.

And Spanish outlet Don Balon claim Bale could get the nod to join United providing the Red Devils are willing to negotiate on David de Gea.

The report says Real president Florentino Perez will make no bones about the 28-year-old leaving providing they get De Gea in return.

The La Liga champions will not accept a straight swap deal and will reportedly also demand a fee for Bale.

De Gea has long been an obsession for Real who came agonisingly close to signing the Spain international in the summer of 2015.

However, the deal collapsed on deadline day after paperwork was incorrectly filed and he ultimately penned a new long-term deal with United.

Jose Mourinho sparked rumours of a move for Bale last month after the pair were seen chatting following United’s pre-season game with Real.

The Portuguese embraced the Welshman in the tunnel and appeared to tell him: “I can’t buy you because you don’t talk to me.”

Bale smiled and then walked away from the brief exchange which was picked up by Spanish TV cameras.

When quizzed about a move for Bale, Mourinho added: “He’s in a club that’s in a very good situation now.

“I never felt a desire from him to leave, so why lose time and energy on that? No.”
