
Don Balon understand that Machester United and Chelsea are both willing to meet the £36m release clause of Barcelona’s Sergi Roberto.
Despite having impressed last season under former manager Luis Enrique, Roberto is expected to be ousted out by new manager Ernesto Valverde who hopes to overhaul the Barca’s midfield.
Roberto produced one of the most spectacular moments in football l ast season, scoring against Paris Saint-Germain, to complete an extraordinary comeback by Barcelona.
Barcelona have, this summer, been linked with the likes of Verratti, Seri, Paulinho and Coutinho, all of whom play in the same position as Roberto.
The 25 year-old is not short of lucrative options though, with AS Monaco, Chelsea and Manchester United all said to be keen on the midfielder.
This whole host of interest should come at no surprise however, as the Spaniard has a release clause standing at just £36m.
Both Manchester United and Chelsea have made enquiries for the Roberto, as per Diario Gol.
The same report also states that Sergi Roberto is said to be interested in a move to Manchester United and is also keen to play under Jose Mourinho.
