Ibrahimovic to be back in the team in next 24 hours

Zlatan Ibrahimovic is set to sign a new contract with Manchester United in the next 24 hours.

The Sun claims that the forward will sign for the second half of the season after recovering from knee ligament damage, which is expected to be in December. By then he’ll be 36-years-old but a deadly weapon nonetheless.

Doubt Ibrahimovic at your peril. Critics learned that last season. Many felt he was overrated and too old to make an impact at United. 28 goals put them in their place. It was a shame that injury ruled him out of the Europa League final. But now Ibrahimovic will get the chance to help United tackle a much more difficult European competition.

The return of Ibrahimovic will mean that Jose Mourinho has an exceptional array of attackers to call upon.

Romelu Lukaku scored twice on his Premier League debut for United. Marcus Rashford was a constant threat in that 4-0 win over West Ham. Anthony Martial came off the bench to net one and set up another.

That’s without mentioning the club’s playmakers. The Red Devils are guaranteed to score more than the paltry 54 goals they managed in the Premier League last season. Expect Ibrahimovic to be among the goals.
