Ousmane Dembele is set to earn his first start as a Barcelona player against Juventus on Tuesday, according to reports.
Diario Sport state the French forward – who replaced Gerard Deulofeu in the 68th minute of Saturday’s 5-0 victory over Espanyol – will line-up in attack against the Italian champions.
The 20-year-old is set to start on the left-hand side of the Blaugrana’s attacking trio alongside Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez, with the former Milan forward making way from the starting line-up.
The report states the former Borussia Dortmund striker showcased his “speed, dribbling and an ability to link up with his teammates” during his Barca debut on Saturday.
Coach Ernesto Valverde is said to have been given ‘a pleasant surprise’ by his performance level and was suitably impressed enough to give him a starting berth in the Champions League.
