Possible Formations: Juventus with Bentacur against Barca

Juventus are expected to start Mattia De Sciglio and Rodrigo Bentancur in a 4-3-3 formation against Barcelona tonight.

It kicks off at 19.45 UK time (18.45 GMT) at Camp Nou, the opening Champions League group game.

Max Allegri is forced into changes, as he is missing suspended Juan Cuadrado, plus injured Mario Mandzukic, Giorgio Chiellini, Sami Khedira, Claudio Marchisio and Benedikt Howedes.

De Sciglio gets the nod at right-back rather than Andrea Barzagli, moving the veteran into the centre with Medhi Benatia.

As for the midfield, a surprise pick is set to be Bentancur, in what will be the 20-year-old Uruguayan’s first start for the Bianconeri.

Douglas Costa can complete the trident attack with Gonzalo Higuain and Paulo Dybala.

As for Barcelona, new boss Ernesto Valverde is without Arda Turan, Paco Alcacer, Rafinha, Lucas Digne, Thomas Vermaelen and Aleix Vidal, but Sergi Roberto has recovered.

The only real surprise is the presence of Ousmane Dembele from the start, having only made his debut with a 22-minute substitute appearance (and assist) in Saturday’s 5-0 Liga win over Espanyol.

He joins Leo Messi – who has never scored past Gianluigi Buffon – and Luis Neymar in a 4-3-3 formation.
