Kroos’s close friend has revealed the truth about the transfer to Real Madrid.

Toni Kroos left Bayern Munich in 2014 for 25m euros.

Since then, Kroos has been the key player of Real Madrid midfield, he today is considered as one of the best midfielders in the world.

But Bayern Munich did not think the same that time. This is confirmed by Kroos’s close friend, Stefan Reinartz, according to him he left because they said he was not a world class player.

Reinartz blames Karl-Heinz Rummenigges for this trasnfer, telling that Pep Guardiola tried to convince him to stay at the Allianz Arena.

“Kroos is my friend and will always be a wonderful friend. His departure is about money. Bayern offered Kroos a new contract and he knew how much Mario Gotze earned at the same age, “he said.

“Bayern did not want to pay more than 10 million euros and Rummenigge said that they could not do it because he was not considered a world class player. Kroos was upset about this because he knew his qualities and he finished everything between him and Bayern. ”

The former Leverkusen player told that Guardiola did everything he could to keep Kroos in Bayern.

“Guardiola was nervous about the situation and tried to do everything to keep Krooswith Bayern, but Ton’s decision was irreversible,” Reinartz concluded.
