French club Paris Saint-Germain’s defender Thomas Meunier has opined that the whole squad is not simply dependent on new summer signing Neymar’s ability and claimed that they have many players capable of changing the game alongwith the Brazilian forward.

PSG signed Neymar in a world record breaking €222m deal from Spanish giants FC Barcelona and he sat out the Parisian club’s weekend goalless match against Montpellier due to a foot injury.

The 25-year-old Neymar has had a wonderful start to life in the French league as he has gone on to score four and assist another four goals since he made his debut last month. Meunier however believes everyone in PSG’s forward line is a gamechanger.

Meunier spoke in an interview as quoted by Goal and said, “We don’t have a Neymar dependence. He is an exceptional player but when you see our team, you can’t say that we don’t win because Neymar is not here.”

He continued specifying PSG is not a one-man team as he said, “We have players who can make a difference. Individually they know how to get the team out of complicated situations. It was a little more difficult because we faced a team of Montpellier who gave 100 per cent.”

Neymar is expected to return to the PSG squad for the French club’s massive Champions League group stage match against Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich in midweek.
