Real Madrid president Florentino Perez has called for The Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) to modernise ‘for the good of the game’.

Madrid have recently pointed to feeling aggrieved by recent decisions and Perez hinted officials should be given all the help they can with modern technology to assist in decision-making.

“The federation simply has to change and modernise,” Perez is quoted as saying by Marca.

“The final days of each and every league season always has strange things happen and have to act to stop this.

“The system must change for this to be stopped as the current one in place is placing the Spanish game at a disadvantage.

“In the last El Clasico games there has not been any talk about the football and the games themselves, and that is a bad thing, everyone can recognise that.

“I’ve only spoken once about the referees and now is the time to help.”
