Barcelona legend Xavi revealed why Neymar decided to leave Barcelona and join Psg last summer. The former Spain star talked to the BBC (via Marca) and revealed: “He [Neymar] told me that he wanted to change teams. I asked him why and he said he wasn’t happy at Barcelona. He preferred to leave the club and have a new experience in Europe with PSG.”
“I think with Neymar and Mbappe, PSG have a great chance of winning the Champions League”, Xavi added.
The Spaniard has also revealed that Manchester United wanted to sign him but he preferred not to leave Barcelona: “On one occasion I spoke with United and Sir Alex Ferguson’s brother,” he admitted.
“The Red Devils tried to take me there, but I decided to stay. I was always thinking that Barcelona was my favourite club, I have them in my heart and it is the best club in the world.”
