Marcos Alonso has grown in Real Madrid Youth club and then he played with Fiorentina jersey and then with Chelsea. He spoke to MARCA and, in addition to discussing his time at Real, he also opened up on his career to date, which has brought him around England and Italy.
What was missing for you in order to win a place in the Real Madrid first team?
“Patience. In my last year there, I made my debut, but wanted to play every Sunday. The offer arrived from the Premier League and I didn’t hesitate. I don’t regret it.”
Are you a Madridista?
“Real Madrid has been my home for a long time and that hasn’t been forgotten. I grew up there, met a lot of people and debuted with the first team. That’s something that will always be special to me and I can’t deny that. To debut in the first team there was a dream.”
