Real Madrid tell Jose Mourinho their asking price for Gareth Bale

Real Madrid will sell Gareth Bale if they receive an offer of £85 million, according to reports.

The 28-year-old has not featured for Madrid since the end of September due to a calf injury.
But Bale has suffered a new setback this week and now faces an extended spell on the sidelines with a thigh problem.

The Sunday Mirror reports that Madrid are becoming frustrated with Bale’s constant injury problems and will listen to offers for the Wales international next summer.

Manchester United have a long-standing interest in Bale and Jose Mourinho even confirmed in August that he would be ‘ready’ to sign the forward if he became available.

Mourinho wanted United to sign an attacking player in the summer window but United failed in their negotiations with Inter over a deal for Ivan Perisic.

The Croatia international has since signed a new contract with Inter, which would make him even harder to acquire should United make a fresh move next year.

Bale’s current deal with Madrid expires in 2022, but Madrid are ready to cash in on the player.
