Reports out of England say that Manchester United is prepared to bring in both Antoine Griezmann and Gareth Bale at the end of the current season. According the The Mirror, executives at Old Trafford are prepared to open their checkbooks to the tune of £136 million for the dynamic attacking duo.
Griezmann was strongly linked with a move to Manchester United last summer, as the Red Devils were prepared to meet his £86 million release clause. However, he elected to remain with Atletico Madrid this season. Now, due to his disappointing performance, Manchester United is trying to bring the Frenchman’s price down.
Real Madrid’s president Florentino Perez has been trying to unload Bale’s monstrous salary as the Welshman has been plagued by injuries since moving from Tottenham to the Santiago Bernabeu. Manchester United is hoping they can bring him back to the Premier League at a discount. When he’s played, he’s been a force. Both clubs hope he can remain on the pitch.
