LaLiga want Manchester United star jailed for alleged match fixing

Bizarre story lives on with Ander’s football future to be decided next year
•The scandal is all about the Real Zaragoza’s 2-1 win over Levante that saw Deportivo relegated as a consequence. Herrera was part of the Zaragoza team back in 2011.

•Spanish state prosecutors are now demanding a two-year prison sentence and a six-year ban from football for the 36 players involved in the game.

•Two-year sentences are normally suspended for first-time offenders in Spain but lawyers from La Liga demanded stiffer penalties of four-year prison sentences if one is found guilty of sports corruption.

•The indictment is still calling for the six-year ban from all footballing activity if the named players are convicted.

•The trial set to start at the beginning of next year.

•Ander has previously released a statement claiming he has never been part of match fixing.
