Kevin De Bruyne: ‘David Silva is underrated’

De Bruyne has discussed City’s Spanish magician and the whole team’s title winning campaign.
The Spaniard has scored total nine goals and assisted 11 more so far this season. He has amassed record-breaking 73 assists since his arrival at the Etihad in 2010.

What’s more, Silva has managed to remain at his best despite personal problems – his son Mateo was born prematurely in December and he is now spending a lot of time flying between Manchester and native Spain.

“David is unbelievable to play alongside. He’s very underrated, and that means a lot considering his standards. There is no competition between us. I’d prefer it if he scores even more, because it helps us. Everybody is doing their part. One day it will be me, on another day it will be David.”

“Obviously the results show that we are the best team. I don’t think the other teams were bad. But it wasn’t the way it is now. Everybody is on such a high level this season. Everybody wants to win and from the beginning of the season, everybody has stepped it up a level and it remains the same.”
