GIANLUIGI BUFFON has sent a message to Real Madrid ahead of their Champions League meeting next month

.

Juventus have been drawn against the European Champions in the quarter-finals.
Madrid and the Italian outfit met in the final of the competition last term, where Buffon was left devastated after a 4-1 defeat for his side.
Many thought the 40-year-old had missed his chance to win the competition after last year’s heartbreak.
But Buffon seems determined to make amends this time around.
“Sometimes we have won, other times we have lost,” he wrote in a Twitter post, accompanied with a photo of him and Madrid captain Sergio Ramos.

.

“The truth is that when you lose with certain teams, composed of similar samples, you do not have the regrets and frustrations that usually accompany the defeats.
“I hope it applies to them too!
“The most determined win!”
Buffon has previously admitted that this season is likely to be his last unless Juventus go on to win the Champions League.

Speaking to Sky Italia last year, the veteran said: “This is my last season and I’m pretty sure of the choices I make.
“The only way would be to win the Champions League.
“At that point, to try to win the Club World Cup, maybe (Wojciech) Szczesny could play one game and me another.
“But I think with a goalkeeper like him behind it is normal that next year I’ll stand aside.”
