According to AS, Real Madrid have needs at five positions: a right-back, a central defender, a midfielder, a winger and a number 9.
Right-back and central defender
Danilo and Pepe were sold last summer, but youngsters Achraf and Vallejo have not lived up to expectations. Real Madrid are now targeting Real Sociedad’s Alvaro Odriozola, his release clause is €40m.
Marcos Llorente’s future is unclear. In case he decides to leave, Los Blancos are going to bring back Omar Mascarell from Eintracht Frankfurt after paying his buy-back clause, ans also have been keeping an eye on Julian Weigl (Borussia Dortmund), Emre Can (Liverpool) and Leandro Paredes (Zenit).
Robert Lewandowski is key priority. Another option is Timo Werner, he played very well against Spain on Friday. Another name on the list is Harry Kane, although getting him out of London seems impossible.
The top priority is Mohamed Salah, who could play a false nine or a right winger. And of course, there are another two big names on the list: Neymar and Eden Hazard. Real Madrid have already met with Neymar’s father, and he has explained the complexity of the possible deal just a year after signing with PSG.
