CRISTIANO RONALDO continues to rewrite history with his stunning displays for Real Madrid.

In the Champions League, the Portuguese star’s achievements have been unparalleled and he produced one of the competition’s greatest moments with a stunning overhead goal against Juventus in the first leg of their quarter-final win in Turin.
Mohamed Salah, meanwhile, has been nothing short of sensational for Liverpool, netting 40 times in all competitions this campaign.
But the biggest surprise was that the Egyptian hitman left Ronaldo in the shade after an official UEFA competition to decide the goal of the round.
Salah came out in top, amassing more than 10 per cent of the votes cast.

Despite Ronaldo’s moment of brilliance which even drew acclaim from NBA legend LeBron James, it wasn’t enough to stop the 25-year-old.
Salah collected 39 per cent of the votes for his dink against Manchester City at the Etihad, while Ronaldo’s extraordinary effort left him in second place with 30 per cent of the vote.
Liverpool midfielder Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain came in third with 14 per cent of the vote.
Jurgen Klopp has already been effusive in his praise for Salah.

He said: “What Mo has done, it is deserved – it’s not that you are thinking, wow how did this happen,” he explained of Salah’s incredible, impossible season.
“He is an outstanding player. That is why he has the accolades. He is in all the decisions – in decisive moments, he is involved. When he is on the pitch he is always a goal threat, and that helps us a lot for sure.
“Either he makes a cross or he scores the goal or whatever, he is really very often involved.
“He gives us all a good feeling, so everybody is really happy for him.”
